About the Program

Biblically-based, Academically Enriched -- and Fun!
Fellowship Children Academy offers your child the opportunity to have a safe place to spend time before and after school.

For Elementary and Middle School students, extended care is offered beginning at 7 AM before school and in the afternoon until 6 PM for a small additional monthly fee. (During the summer months, students may enroll in our Kids’ College, an academically rich program that includes STEM-based, hands-on activities and field trips).

From August through May, our Afterschool Program bolsters the education our students receive during class time through help with homework and a myriad of extra learning activities.

We offer children the chance to have fun and feel at home in the afternoon hours. Your child(ren) will look forward to participating in a variety of comprehensive activities that help them become independent in completing their school work, that provide physical activity, and that constructively channel their energy in the after-school hours. Our students have access to the library, to the gym, and to other school resources. In addition, we provide out students with a nutritious supper.

On school holidays, we coordinate field trips and extended activities for our students to include culturally enriching excursions or those that are designed just for fun. Examples include a day at the State Fair, exploring the ice sculpture at the Gaylord, enjoying the Dallas aquarium, a day trip to a local museum, or a day roller skating and enjoying the park.

Seven Developmental Pathways

The After School Program supports our students’ education along all seven developmental pathways by:

  • Engaging in devotions to maintain a Christ-centered focus
  • Fostering the self-worth of each child and developing each child’s self-care skills
  • Developing each child’s personal and interpersonal social skills
  • Providing help with homework, tutoring, and other learning supports Provide time and space for quiet study
  • Provide new, developmentally-appropriate enrichment activities to add to student’s learning at school
  • Provide recreational and physical activities to promote good health and channel children’s energy positively
