DUKE UNIVERSITY TALENT IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM
SPELLING BEE The Spelling Bee is an annual event held to assist the students in developing good spelling habits with common words while expanding the students’ abilities in verbal communication skills. The goal of the committee, in collaboration with the students and parents, is to develop within the student the awareness of accurate usage of words and vocabulary by encouraging proper communication. As God communicates with us, He reveals Himself to us through His creation, the actions He performs, the Bible, and His Son Jesus Christ. We want to encourage our students to be confident in their ability to speak before others.
