The Core Curriculum
Fellowship Christian Academy’s (FCA) Core Curriculum is aligned to both state and national standards. Developed for each grade level, our curriculum guides focus on developing critical thinking skills through a Christian worldview.
At FCA, we teach intentionally
FCA teachers are highly trained professionals who utilize best-practice methods based on the latest education research in teaching and learning. Teachers model and instruct in a manner that encourages students to reach the highest level of academic achievement while stimulating their natural curiosity. Instruction at FCA is balanced between hands-on, project-based learning and an emphasis on content skills within a biblical worldview.
FCA students are taught to think critically and to apply what they learn in the world around them. More than mastering knowledge, true learning produces the ability to use knowledge to impact ones culture and world for the good of mankind and glory of God.
Teachers at FCA utilize the Texas Performance Based Standards for project-based learning. These standards meet Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills criteria and focus on the core content areas of English, language arts, mathematics, science and social studies with interdisciplinary connections. This provides our students learning experiences that are open-ended, authentic and student-centered.
