Why should I pay tuition when I can attend a charter school for “free?”
The spiritual component is a major distinctive of Fellowship Christian Academy. Our philosophy of education  is rooted in the Biblical teachings of Christ, who took everyday people and achieved extraordinary results, transforming them into powerful spiritual vessels for Christ in their communities. In addition, we provide a nurturing school environment that promotes academic, spiritual, physical, and emotional growth. We take pride in knowing our families personally. Many of our students began their schooling at 18 months of age in our Early Childhood program and matriculate through our Middle School, giving us the opportunity to partner with families in preparing their child[ren] for the pressures they will face in high school and beyond.

What makes FCA the right choice for a student?
Fellowship Christian Academy (FCA) is an excellent choice for the student/family who is seeking both an exemplary academic and spiritual foundation. Based on students' abilities and academic backgrounds, our well qualified teachers provide nuture while challenging them to reach their highest spiritual and academic potential. In addition to the core curriculum, FCA offers enrichment programs in fine arts, music, technology, world languages, and athletics. The curriculum, delivered by an outstanding administrative team and dedicated teachers, provide students with a well-rounded education that prepares them for future success in higher education and, ultimately, leadership as outstanding Christian citizens.

Why isn’t Fellowship Christian Academy a charter school?
We believe strongly that the Lord has called us to provide a 21st Century Kingdom education that is Bible-based, and we do not believe in chaining our instruction to a high-stakes test.

How does FCA keep tuition so affordable?
FCA provides a superior, college preparatory education in a premier facility because of the significant financial support provided by Oak Cliff Bible Fellowship.

Are all students tested prior to entering Fellowship Christian Academy?
Yes. Fellowship Christian Academy tests all new students prior to acceptance. A complete application must be submitted along with a $75 application processing in order to schedule testing.

Does FCA offer before and after school care?
Yes. Children in the Early Childhood program may arrive as early as 6:30 am, and children in Elementary and Middle School may arrive at 7:00 am for supervised care. Students may stay as late as 6:00 pm. The fee for before and after school care is $150.00 per month for students enrolled at FCA.

What is the enrollment?
Our current enrollment is approximately 525 students. The pre-school program includes students 18 months through 4 years of age. The Elementary and Middle Schools serve students in Kindergarten through 8th grade.

How long has the school been in operation?
In 2014, FCA celebrated 30 years of Christian education in south Dallas. We have been in operation since 1984.

What is the school’s mission statement?
The mission of Fellowship Christian Academy is to provide a superior education in a nurturing Christian environment that enables children to reach their highest academic potential and apply a Biblical worldview to every area of life.

Is Fellowship Christian Academy accredited?
Yes, FCA is accredited by the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and by and AdvancEd.

What curriculum is taught at Fellowship Christian Academy?
FCA’s curriculum is developed to align with state and national standards. We utilize a variety of Christian and secular curriculum resources including Abeka, Scott-Foresman, Apologia Press, Glencoe, and McGraw-Hill. The curriculum includes Bible, Reading, Language Arts, Science, Mathematics, Fine Arts, (Chorus, Band, Piano, Art, Music), Technology, Physical Education, Spanish, Mandarin, Research and Library Skills, and a wide variety of co-curricular and enrichment activities. 

The Middle School is a one-to-one program. The school provides each student enrolled in grades 6-8 with a laptop with a nominal user fee. Each Middle School student is afforded the opportunity to enter the Microsoft IT Academy, which provides a Microsoft certification at graduation.

What are the hours at FCA?
Early Childhood 6:30 am - 6:00 pm
Elementary 8:00 am – 3:25 pm
Middle School 8:00 am – 3:25 pm
Before School Care 7:00– 8:00 am
After School Care 3:30 – 6:00 pm

Do you provide any financial assistance?
FCA offers students financial assistance based on need and on merit. The application process begins in the spring.

Does Fellowship Christian Academy have a uniform dress code?
Uniforms are required for all students enrolled in Kindergarten through Eighth Grade. Students enrolled in the two-, three- and four-year old program are also required to wear a uniform. Complete information regarding the FCA dress code is available in the Family Handbook.

What are the school colors?
Burgundy and Gray.

What is the school mascot?
We are the Eagles.
